Description
The 1968 model year brought a major restyling to both the Dodge Dart and Plymouth Valiant, giving these dependable A-body compacts a longer, wider stance and a completely redesigned interior. The new dashboard featured updated gauge layouts and fresh trim, but the vinyl pad is just as vulnerable to sun-induced cracking as earlier versions. This Dashtop dash cover is molded from UV-stable ABS plastic to precisely follow the unique 1968 A-body dash contours, and it installs directly over your original factory dashboard, which must remain in place to serve as a solid foundation.
The overlay bonds permanently using the included silicone adhesive. Clean the dash, apply the adhesive, position the cover, and let it cure. No dash removal, no drilling, and no modification to the original interior is required. The end result is a tight-fitting, smooth-surfaced overlay that erases years of cosmetic damage and prevents further deterioration. Manufactured in the USA and protected by Dashtop's lifetime warranty, this is the practical choice for any 1968 Dart or Valiant owner.
