Description
Ford refreshed the Thunderbird for 1985 with a revised interior and updated dashboard design shared with the Mercury Cougar, and the Turbo Coupe continued to be the performance benchmark of the lineup. The factory dash pad on these Fox-platform coupes is highly susceptible to cracking and fading caused by years of sun and heat exposure. This Dashtop molded dash cover is formed from UV-resistant ABS plastic to match the 1985-1988 Thunderbird and Cougar instrument panel, installing directly over your original factory dashboard, which must remain in place to serve as a solid foundation.
Installation requires no dash removal. Clean the original surface, apply the included silicone adhesive, and position the Dashtop overlay. Once cured, the cover bonds permanently and provides a smooth, crack-free surface that shields the original pad from additional deterioration. Proudly made in the USA and backed by Dashtop's lifetime warranty, this is the simplest path to a restored Thunderbird or Cougar interior.
