Description
The MN12 platform Thunderbird and Mercury Cougar debuted for 1989 with a completely redesigned body and a new, more aerodynamic interior. This particular dash cover fits models that were not equipped with the optional dashboard-mounted tissue dispenser. The factory vinyl pad on these cars develops cracks and surface checking after years of UV exposure, particularly along the top surface and defroster vent area. This Dashtop molded dash cover is precision-formed from UV-stable ABS plastic to match the non-tissue-dispenser variant of the 1989-1993 instrument panel, installing directly over your original factory dashboard, which must remain in place to serve as a solid foundation.
Clean the original dash, apply the included silicone adhesive, and position the Dashtop overlay. The precision-molded cover bonds permanently once cured, concealing every crack and preventing further UV deterioration. Before ordering, verify your vehicle does not have the factory tissue dispenser built into the dashboard. Made in the USA and protected by Dashtop's lifetime warranty.
