Description
For the 1991 model year, Ford completely redesigned the Escort on a new Mazda-derived platform, introducing a sleeker body and a restyled dashboard that remained in production through 1996. The second-generation Escort's dash pad sits close to the windshield and absorbs intense heat and UV radiation, causing the vinyl surface to crack and discolor over time. This Dashtop molded dash cover is formed from UV-resistant ABS plastic to match the contours of the 1991-1994 Escort instrument panel, installing directly over your original factory dashboard, which must remain in place to serve as a solid foundation.
Clean the existing dash, apply the included silicone adhesive, and position the Dashtop overlay for a permanent, rattle-free bond.
